Westport Small Box Workshop Sponsored by Buller REAP - Saturday 15th April 2023

We are so PROUD to be able to offer this workshop so very kindly sponsored by Buller REAP! Buller REAP is an education focused community development organisation serving the wider Buller region. Their mission is to promote Learning Journeys for the whānau of Kawatiri Buller.

This one day workshop, "An Introduction to Cartonnage - the French art of box-making & fabric covered boxes" is now open for registration!

When? Saturday 15th April 2023

Where? Buller REAP Hall, 13 Henley Street, Westport

What's it all about? During this 1 day workshop you will construct and decorate a small & simple box with a hinged lid from a supplied laser-cut kit measuring 11cm x 11cm x 7cm, which will take 5-6 hours to make. All you need to bring is your fabric. See photos below.

What experience do I need? If you're a beginner crafter or a junior crafter, then this 1 day course is just made for you! Come and lose yourself for a few hours and take a well earned break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Everything needed to make this box is included in the course fee except your fabric. Details of what you need will be emailed to you. Be warned, this craft is ADDICTIVE!! Pure mindfulness at its best!

We require a minimum of 10 participants for this workshop for it to go ahead to go ahead - places are limited so book your place now! We can't wait to meet you and to see the wonderful boxes that we know will be created during the day.
